Human trafficking gang exposed, eight including five women from Punjab arrested, gang used to buy and sell newborn babies

New Delhi: Delhi Police has busted an interstate human trafficking gang. Police have arrested two women along with a 15-20 day old newborn girl from Begumpur police station area of ​​Rohini district. According to the police, the gang had bought this girl from Muktsar in Punjab for Rs 50 thousand and was planning to sell her. Police have arrested five women and three men in the case. Police say that this gang is active in the states of North India.

On February 20, the police reached the gang through PCR call. Rohini district DCP Gurikbal Singh Sidhu said that Begumpur police station had received information about the activity of buying and selling of newborn babies. On which the police team raided the mentioned address. Two women found a newborn baby girl in the house. Both the women could not give clear answers about the girl and her parents.

DCP said that after interrogation it was found that both the women were residents of Delhi. He told that he is involved in interstate human trafficking gang. The gang had bought the newborn girl from different states of North India from Muktsar city of Punjab for Rs 50,000 and were waiting for a buyer for her. During the interrogation of these women, other members of the gang were revealed and several raids were conducted in Punjab. After this, six more members associated with the gang were arrested. There are three women and three men among them. These three women are residents of Punjab.

Piyush Aggarwal, resident of Jain Nagar, Delhi, Rajinder and Raman, residents of Abohar, Punjab, were also arrested. A case of human trafficking is already registered against one of the two women from whom the child was rescued. Delhi Police has not yet disclosed the names of the five accused women.
