The results of the by-elections held on 3 assembly seats of Himachal Pradesh have started coming. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Sukhu's wife Kamlesh Thakur has won a big victory. Kamlesh Thakur has won the election from Dehra assembly seat by 9399 votes. She defeated BJP's Hoshiar Singh.
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that we could not win the election from Dehra for 25 years. The party made Kamlesh Thakur its candidate and won the election. Congress is also ahead in Nalagarh. Congress has 40 seats. CM Sukhu said that this is a victory of democracy.
BJP's Ashish Sharma has won the election from Hamirpur seat. Its formal announcement is yet to be made. Whereas in Nalagarh, brother-in-law Hardeep, close to former CM Virbhadra Singh, is leading. His victory is considered certain.
