Initial work of hawkers survey completed in Kolkata

Kolkata, July 11 (HS). The preliminary work of hawker survey has been completed in the metropolitan Kolkata. This process has started from July 1. The preliminary work of hawker survey has been completed in just 10 days. Municipal Town Vending Committee and Kolkata Police are jointly completing the preliminary work in various parts of the city including Gariahat, Dharmatala, New Market, Hatibagan and verifying the digital information.

According to sources, more than seven thousand details have been recorded digitally. The data of hawkers' Aadhaar number, photo and the area in which they are doing business in the city is being recorded. The preliminary survey report will be submitted to Public Works and Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim.
