Raipur, July 11 (HS). Rupa Mishra, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, today on Thursday visited the Integrated Traffic Management System and Smart Reading Zone cum Library “Takshashila”, which are important projects of Raipur Smart City Limited.
He appreciated the innovations related to cleanliness, security and crime control under this world class traffic management system. He also took detailed information about the advanced facilities in Raipur to provide study facilities to the young participants in Takshila Library and guided the youth.
State Urban Development Agency Chief Executive Officer Shashank Pandey also accompanied him during the tour. During this, Municipal Corporation Commissioner and Raipur Smart City Limited Managing Director Abinash Mishra along with Chief Operating Officer Ujjwal Porwal informed him in detail about the various projects being run in Raipur for the expansion of civic amenities.
Joint Secretary Mrs Mishra said that conducting development activities in accordance with world class standards on the lines of metros is exemplary for other cities as well. In ITMS, she took detailed information about traffic management system as well as cleanliness related innovations. During the visit, officers and employees of Municipal Corporation and Smart City were also present.
