Environment will be a compulsory subject in all courses of Guru Jambheshwar University

Hisar, July 11 (HS). The 62nd meeting of the Academic Council of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology was held in the Vice Chancellor's office of the university. This meeting, which was held online and offline, was chaired by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Narsiram Bishnoi, while it was conducted by Registrar, Prof. Vinod Chhokar.

University Vice Chancellor Prof. Narsiram Bishnoi said on Thursday that in the meeting, the new regular, distance education and online courses started by the university from the current academic session were approved. Along with this, the process and framework for conducting the courses started under the National Education Policy from this year in the colleges affiliated to the university was also approved. All the courses have been started by the university under the National Education Policy. The proposal to rename the Bio and Nano Technology Department of the University as Biotechnology Department has also been approved. Along with this, the name of the Emerging Technology Department has been changed to Allied Health Science Department.

All the new paramedical courses started by the university have been conducted through this department. The proposal to teach environment as a compulsory subject in all the new courses started under the National Education Policy-2020 has also been passed. Apart from this, many other agendas have also been passed in the meeting of the Academic Council.

In the meeting, Prof. Kamal Dutt of CCS Haryana Agricultural University Hisar, Prof. Jitendra Sharma and Prof. Pawan Kumar of Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra, Prof. Salim Siddiqui from Sharda University, Noida, Prof. Vivek Kumar of IIT Delhi, Prof. Dhirendra Singal of Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Science and Technology University, Murthal, Prof. Adhya Prasad Pandey of Banaras Hindu University Varanasi, Prof. Sandeep Rana, besides University's Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Devendra Kumar, Dean of Colleges Prof. Sanjeev Kumar, Prof. Vinod Kumar Bishnoi, Controller of Examinations Prof. Yashpal Singla, Dr. Vikramjit Singh of Dayanand Mahavidyalaya Hisar, Dr. Saroj Bishnoi of Government College Mangali and Dr. Pavitra Mohan Sharma from Government College Hansi and other members were present.
