Ranchi, July 10 (HS). Secretary to the Chief Minister and Secretary of Urban Development and Housing Department Arwa Rajkamal said that on the instructions of the Chief Minister, senior officials of JUSCO have been ordered to inaugurate the flyover by the third week of August and open it for public traffic. Only one span of Kantatoli flyover is left to be constructed.
The secretary informed that this flyover is being built using precast segmental system. Out of total 486 segments, 471 segments have been installed. The remaining 15 segments will also be installed soon. 15 segments make one span. Work on 42 out of 43 spans has been completed. The secretary also directed to start the demarcation work for traffic signal on the flyover. Arwa Rajkamal held a meeting with the department officials, JUSCO and Smart City General Manager in the secretary's chamber located in the project building on Wednesday.
After the meeting, Secretary Arwa Rajkamal said that on the instructions of the Chief Minister, Smart City General Manager Rakesh Nandkuliyar has been directed to lay the foundation stone of Apollo Hospital soon. This hospital will be a super specialty hospital. Apart from this, instructions have been given to sign an MoU soon to start construction and other processes on the land allotted for the five star hotel Taj Group in Smart City.
The secretary said that the auction process of all the eligible vacant land in the smart city should be started soon and the allotment process should be completed. Also, any problem with HEC related to the land under the smart city should be resolved soon. If needed, the size of the land can also be changed.
In the meeting, instructions were also given to fill the vacant posts and create posts in the municipal bodies. Many municipal bodies do not have the post of Municipal Commissioner, Deputy Municipal Commissioners are handling the work there. The post of Municipal Commissioner should be created in those municipal bodies. Also, the vacant posts of Additional Municipal Commissioner and Town Planner should be filled soon.
