Amethi, 06 July (HS). The body of a young man was found in a field near a tubewell outside Ramnathpur Bada village under Amethi Kotwali area on Saturday under suspicious circumstances. The police identified the deceased and informed the family about the incident and took the body to the district hospital. The young man was identified as Monu Pasi (30), a resident of Ramnathpur Chhota village.
Police claim that this is the same Monu Pasi who was involved in the murder of Ajay Singh, younger brother of village head of Kadergaon on June 28. He was the main accused in this incident. Police was searching for Monu Pasi. Meanwhile, there is an atmosphere of panic in the area due to Monu's body being found in the field near the tubewell. A bottle of poison was also found near the body. Police sent the body for postmortem and started investigating the case. Family members have expressed the suspicion that Monu was murdered by poisoning.
On this matter, Superintendent of Police Anup Kumar Singh said that Monu Pasi and another accused are named criminals in the murder of Ajay Singh. Monu's body was found on Saturday evening. Postmortem of the body is being done to know the cause of death.
