Raipur, 3 July (HS). Revenue Minister of Chhattisgarh Government Tankaram Verma has said that the work of the Revenue Department is connected to the common people. In accordance with the goal of better and transparent administration set by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, people's revenue related work should be done with full alertness and sensitivity. He said that Revenue Fortnight is being organized in the state from 6 to 20 July for the resolution of revenue cases. All revenue officers must resolve pending revenue cases quickly during this fortnight. Mr. Verma was addressing the review meeting of district level departmental works in Collectorate Balodabazar.
In the review meeting, Revenue Minister Mr. Verma said that Revenue Department has very small works like transfer, partition, demarcation which are related to everyone. If these works are settled on time, then the attitude of people towards the Revenue Department can be positive. First, identify a village and make it a revenue dispute-free village. The Patwari RI of such a village will also be honored. He said that during the rainy season, flood situation may arise in the rivers and streams of the district. All necessary arrangements should be ensured to deal with this.
Minister Shri Verma said that farmers should be provided with sufficient quantity of fertilizers and seeds. Provide free seeds to farmers if paddy is damaged due to waterlogging in the field. Ensure that all the farmers deprived of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi are registered and get benefits. He directed to provide employment oriented training to local youth to provide them employment in big cement plants and mines. Similarly, youth should also be employed in mining units run by the plants. He asked to motivate more and more youth to join Agniveer recruitment and make arrangements for career guidance and coaching. He said that some roads constructed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in the district are getting damaged very soon, and directed to take action against the contractors constructing such roads. No compromise will be tolerated on the quality of various construction works.
He instructed to start the construction work of Balodabazar bypass soon by giving it top priority. Along with this, he asked to identify the remaining schools for renovation of school buildings, construction of additional rooms and send the proposal to the department and ensure the arrangement of teachers in single teacher schools. In the meeting, the Revenue Minister reviewed the works of various departments in detail as per the agenda and gave necessary instructions.
Collector Deepak Soni directed all department officials to ensure compliance with the instructions given by the Revenue Minister. He also directed to expedite the implementation of departmental schemes.
