In this, it was decided unanimously to make Hemant Soren the Chief Minister of Jharkhand again. After this, Chief Minister Champai Soren and former Chief Minister Hemant Soren reached Raj Bhavan on Wednesday evening and met Governor CP Radhakrishnan.
During this time, Chief Minister Champai Soren submitted his resignation to Governor CP Radhakrishnan. Hemant Soren met the Governor and staked claim to form the government and handed over the letter of support of the MLAs of the Mahagathbandhan Vidhan Dal to the Governor. Now the Governor can invite Hemant Soren for swearing-in anytime. However, it is said that he will be sworn in as the Chief Minister on Thursday or Friday. Hemant Soren will take oath as the Chief Minister for the third time.
Congress in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir, state Congress president Rajesh Thakur and RJD leader Satyanand Bhokta were present on the occasion. Champai Soren and Hemant Soren came out of the Raj Bhavan together.
