After becoming the Army Chief, General Upendra Dwivedi took stock of the preparations on the LoC

After taking over as the new Army Chief, General Upendra Dwivedi made his first official visit. Meanwhile, he took stock of the army's preparations and also held a meeting with military officials after reaching Poonch.

After taking over as India's new Army Chief on June 30, General Upendra Dwivedi visited Jammu region today, July 3, on his first official visit during which he was briefed on the Army's preparedness along the LoC.

Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi arrived in Jammu on his first visit, after which he recently visited the LoC and reviewed the preparations. After visiting the LoC, he reached Nagrota, where he met the army commanders and took stock of the ongoing anti-terrorism operations in the Jammu region. This is his first visit after assuming office.

General Dwivedi also reviewed the security of the ongoing Amarnath Yatra. This is his first visit to Jammu and Kashmir after taking over as the new Army Chief. After Jammu, the Army Chief reached the Brigade Headquarters in Poonch and held a meeting with military officials, during which he also took important decisions on many issues. After the meeting, he conducted an aerial survey of the forward areas of the LoC and took complete stock. Upendra Dwivedi was earlier the head of the Northern Command.
