Ghaziabad, June 14 (HS). Municipal Corporation officials inspected Haldiram Sweets, Nathu Sweets, Ganesh Bikaner Wala, Bikaner Wala, Shagun Sweets and Madan Sweets sweet shops on Thursday. This inspection was done after a complaint was received by Mayor Sunita Dayal.
There was a complaint of these institutions dumping greasy water in the sewer. The mayor talked to the officials of the water works department and got the investigation done, in which junior engineer Ajay Kumar inspected Haldiram Sweets, Nathu Sweets, Ganesh Bikaner Wala, Bikaner Wala, Shagun Sweets and Madan Sweets on Rakesh Marg on Ambedkar Road and saw the waste water coming from the shops, the entire sewer was full of grease. Due to which the sewer line gets choked. Whereas ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) is installed at such shops from which grease is released like sweets, restaurants, car washing shops and others. In which a chamber is made and the plant is run and that plant separates the grease. Then the waste water is poured into the sewer. Due to which the sewer line never gets choked in future, whereas no sweets owner had made such arrangements at these places, against whom notice is being prepared for action.
Mayor Sunita Dayal said that all the establishments in the city should get ETP work done in their places. Due to sewer blockage, there will be an overflow situation in the city, so this plant must be installed. This is a work in the interest of the city, no one should have any problem in doing it.
