New Delhi, May 25 (HS). The Reserve Bank of India has approved the appointment of Pradeep Kumar Sinha as the part-time chairman of ICICI Bank. Sinha will hold this post for the next three years from July 1, 2024.
Pradeep Kumar Sinha will be the part-time chairman of ICICI Bank, official sources said on Saturday. The Reserve Bank has approved Sinha's appointment. He will replace GC Chaturvedi, who is retiring as non-executive part-time chairman on June 30, 2024. Sinha's appointment as non-executive part-time chairman was announced in the ICICI Bank board meeting.
It is notable that Pradeep Kumar Sinha has been a government-nominated director in several major public sector undertakings like ONGC, IOCL, HPCL, BPCL, GAIL, etc. Notably, he was on the board of Indian Oil Corporation for nearly 7 years.
