The accused who attacked Kanhaiya Kumar got bail, slapped him when he came to garland him!

New Delhi: Delhi High Court on Tuesday granted bail to the accused who attacked Congress candidate Kanhaiya Kumar. The accused has been identified as Ajay Kumar, who attacked Kanhaiya Kumar in New Usmanpur area on May 17 when the Congress candidate had come for election campaign.

The attack took place when Congress candidate Kanhaiya Kumar was talking to people at the Aam Aadmi Party office in New Osmanpur. Meanwhile, after the meeting, when Kanhaiya was surrounded by people, the accused person came and first garlanded Kanhaiya Kumar and then suddenly attacked him.

After this incident, the police arrested the accused Ajay Kumar from his house in New Usmanpur. The accused misbehaved with Kanhaiya Kumar and also threw ink on him. A video of the attack on Kanhaiya Kumar has also surfaced.

In which it was clearly visible that during the conversation, some people garlanded Kanhaiya Kumar and then tried to attack the Congress candidate by throwing ink. Meanwhile, when the woman leader tried to intervene, she was also misbehaved and threatened.

On the complaint of the woman leader, an FIR has been registered against the accused under sections 323, 341, 354, 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. Now Metropolitan Magistrate Aarushi Parwal has granted bail to accused Ajay Kumar alias Ranveer Bhatti. He got Rs. 25,000 and bail was granted on furnishing a bond of the same amount.

Let us tell you that, the court said in the order, “Considering that the offence involved in the present FIR is punishable with imprisonment for less than 7 years, the application for bail of the accused is allowed considering the clear background of the accused, the arguments and circumstances of the case, judicial precedents.”

He was produced in the court after being arrested a day earlier. Where Delhi Police filed an application demanding judicial custody of the accused for 14 days.
