Mandsaur, 14 May (HS). Jinendra Prabhu's Rath Yatra was taken out on Tuesday as part of the two-day celebrations of the 142nd foundation day of Shri Mahavir Jinalaya. The Rath Yatra started from Jinalaya complex with bands playing and cheers of Mahavir. In the Rath Yatra, the idol of Lord Mahavir Swami was placed in a palanquin and the devotees took it around the city.
Giving information, Dr. Chanda Bharat Kothari said that the Rath Yatra passed through Ganpati Chowk, Bada Chowk, Dhanmandi, Utara, Sadar Bazaar, Ghantaghar and Shukla Chowk and again reached Mahavir Jinalaya, where the consecration of Jinendra Dev and Shantidhara was done. Dr. Ankur Patni, Rajkumar Godha, Saurabh Barjatya, Rajesh Barjatya and Suresh Jain etc. benefited from Shantidhara. Jalabhishek was performed by Pankaj Katiwal, Ajit Bandi, Arpit Dosi etc. All the auspicious rituals were performed by Pandit Anand Jain Shastri. At every place in the Rath Yatra, the devotees offered Shriphal and Arghya to Shriji. Women expressed their devotion to God by performing devotional dance and Garba on the route of Rath Yatra.
