Give 2.5 crores, I will hack all the EVMs of the district and bring the expected results

Mumbai: An army soldier who claimed to hack all the EVMs of the district on payment of Rs 2.5 crore was caught red-handed. He made this claim to Uddhav group leader Ambadas Danve. When Danve informed the police, the police laid a trap and caught the soldier who had come to collect one lakh rupees. During police interrogation, it was revealed that this soldier did not even have the basic understanding of EVM. Since he had incurred huge debt, he thought of getting money quickly in this way by reasoning. The accused has been identified as jawan Maruti Dhakne, originally from Maharashtra, who is serving in Jammu and Kashmir.

Accused Dhakane called up Ambadas Danve, the leader of opposition in the Legislative Council, and said that he would hack all the EVM machines in Sambhajinagar district and bring his desired results. He demanded Rs 2.5 crore for this work.

After realizing what he said, Nava immediately informed the Sambhajinagar police.

The police had laid a trap. As per the instructions of the police, the demon moved forward with the accused. After Rakjaak, the deal was finalized for Rs 1.5 crore and the accused was called to take a token amount of Rs 1 lakh.

On Tuesday, when the accused Dhakan came to Pune's Golden Hotel to collect cash, the police present there picked him up. Further investigation revealed that Maruti Dhakane is a resident of Pathardi in Ahmednagar district and is serving as Havildar in the Army in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir. He used this trick to get rid of debt.

In this regard, a case has been registered against the accused under sections 420 and 511 of IPC at Kranti Chowk Police Station in Sambhajinagar and further investigation has been conducted.
