ICC Ranking Update: India has been playing more T20 matches for the past few months and most of the players have been busy with the IPL recently. The International Cricket Council has released its annual update of Test, ODI and T20 rankings on Friday, May 3. India's dominance in ODI and T20 continues and Team India is at number one in both the formats, but in this new list, the crown of number 1 Test team has been snatched from India. The Australian team, which defeated India in the final of the World Test Championship 2021-23, has now reached the top position in Tests.
After this annual update of ICC, Australia's rating in Test has increased to 124, while India has slipped to second place with 120 rating. England is in third place with 105 ratings. Apart from this, there has been no change in the Test ranking from fourth to ninth place in this latest list. South Africa (103) is fourth, New Zealand (96) is fifth, Pakistan (89) is sixth, Sri Lanka (83) is seventh, West Indies (82) is eighth and Bangladesh (53) is ninth.
This ranking shows the performance of all the teams after May 2021. All results between May 2021 and May 2023 have been given 50 per cent weighting, while matches over the next 12 months, including Australia's World Test Championship final win, have been given 100 per cent weighting.
India's dominance in ODI:
Team India, which had lost the number 1 crown in Test cricket, has maintained its dominance in both the formats of limited overs cricket. Talking about ODI ranking, according to the latest update, India is at first place with 122 rating while Australia is at second place with 116 rating. In this list, South Africa has come close to Australia with 112 ratings and is at third position. Pakistan is in the top-5 with 106 ratings and New Zealand with 101 ratings.
In this list, England (95) is at sixth place, Sri Lanka (93) is at seventh place, Bangladesh (86) is at eighth place, Afghanistan (80) is at ninth place and West Indies (69) is at tenth place. Post.

India topped the T20 rankings with a rating of 264 in ICC's annual update. Here too Australia is at second place with 257 ratings. There is a difference of 5 ratings between England and Australia at number three. England is in third place with 252 ratings.
