Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has got a big relief from the court in the alleged scam in Delhi's excise policy. The Delhi High Court has allowed jailed Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia, in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), to meet his ailing wife once a week.

When will Sisodia's bail plea be heard?

Manish Sisodia also requested the court to stay the trial court's order allowing him to meet his ailing wife in custody once a week. The court accepted the petition of Manish Sisodia. During the hearing, ED's lawyer said that if the order is given then the investigating agency has no problem. Justice Swarnkant Sharma of Delhi High Court has issued notice to ED and CBI on the bail plea of ​​Manish Sisodia and the next hearing of the case will be on May 8.

Sisodia is lodged in Tihar jail

It is noteworthy that former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia approached the Delhi High Court on Thursday. Two days before this, on April 30, Special Judge Kaveri Baweja of Rouse Avenue Court had rejected the bail plea of ​​Manish Sisodia in the case of alleged irregularities in Delhi Excise Policy, saying that the accused were deliberately delaying the trial. , CBI had arrested Manish Sisodia in the excise case on 26 February last year, after which ED took Manish Sisodia into judicial custody on 9 March. At present Manish Sisodia is lodged in Tihar Jail.
