The maximum amount worth Rs 8 crore 43 lakh has been seized in Haridwar district, Rs 1 crore 83 lakh has been seized in Nainital district and Rs 1 crore 58 lakh has been seized in Dehradun district. Maximum seizures have been made by the Police Department followed by the Income Tax Department and Excise Department. In the Lok Sabha General Election 2019, money worth Rs 8 crore 81 lakh was seized in the state.
Additional Chief Electoral Officer said that today 11 polling parties from Uttarkashi district and one polling party from Pithoragarh district have left for the polling place.
