The previous Congress government did not launch 'Tap water to every house' scheme out of ill will: Shekhawat

Jodhpur, 8 April (HS). Union Jal Shakti Minister and BJP candidate Gajendra Singh Shekhawat held public meetings in Luni assembly constituency on Monday. While he discussed the development work done by the Modi government, he also held the previous Congress government responsible for the scheme of providing 'tap water to every house' not coming to fruition in Rajasthan till now.

In the public meetings of Moklawas, Popawas, Ghantiyala, Chavanda Basni Senfa, Salodi and Keru, Shekhawat said that even after giving funds of Rs 27 thousand crores by the Central Government, the previous Congress government did not work only out of ill will, because it was afraid that if If every house starts getting tap water, Modi will get the credit for it, hence he deliberately kept this scheme in limbo.

Shekhawat said that the scheme was started in 2019 and all the schemes were passed by the Center till 2021, even after that the Congress government did not work on the scheme. He said that the maximum amount of Rs 27 thousand crore was allocated to Rajasthan, apart from this Rs 13 thousand crore has also been approved in this budget.

The Union Minister said that now a double engine government has been formed, hence there is no problem in implementing the scheme 100 percent. He said that Rajasthan government has Rs 32 thousand crore left. All the tenders related to the scheme have been passed and now only the work is left to get done. Therefore, now it is guaranteed that in the coming few months the water crisis in Rajasthan will completely end.

Modi's rule has to be maintained

The Union Minister said that Modi's rule has to be maintained, we have to work towards this goal. He said that the public voted for Modi twice, the first vote in 2014 and the second vote in 2019. With these two votes of the public, Modi has changed the country. The first vote ended the problems related to electricity, roads, gas connections in the lives of the poor, while the second vote given in 2019 solved the problems of the country for hundreds of years, which include big works like Article 370 and construction of Ram Temple. This time, to lay the foundation of a developed India, you have to make Modi the Prime Minister once again by giving your third vote.
