Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde spoke openly on the rebellion in Shiv Sena for the first time. He surrounded Uddhav Thackeray and accused him of deviating from the ideology of Bal Thackeray. Many MLAs, including Shinde, had called for a rebellion in the then undivided Shiv Sena in June-July 2022. Then Uddhav had to resign from the post of Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
Eknath Shinde made a big claim…
Eknath Shinde made a big claim and said that I rebelled because Uddhav Thackeray abandoned the ideology of Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray. Addressing Shiv Sena workers in Nagpur, Shinde said that I did not want to become the Chief Minister but seeing the ideology of Bal Thackeray being compromised, I had to rebel.
Shiv Sena will separate in 2022
It is noteworthy that Shinde had broken ties with Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena in June 2022 and formed the government with the support of BJP. Taking a dig at Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray, Chief Minister Shinde said that party officials considered Bala Saheb Thackeray as a friend but Uddhav started treating us like a servant of the house. Any party moves forward when the leader reaches out to the workers at the grassroots level instead of sitting at home.
