The sun has been blazing in most parts of Uttar Pradesh for the last several days. With the onset of Nautapa, severe heat wave and scorching scorching heat have completely disrupted the life of common people. It has become difficult for people to come out of their homes due to the gusts of hot wind in the afternoon. But meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has given a very big and reassuring news for the people of UP.
According to the latest forecast of the Meteorological Department, a huge and widespread change is going to be seen in the weather of Uttar Pradesh within the next 48 hours. There is a strong possibility of dusty storm along with thunderstorms and heavy rain in the western, central and eastern divisions of the state. Meteorologists say that due to this seasonal change, a huge drop of about 6 to 8 degrees Celsius can be recorded in the maximum temperature of the state, which will provide great relief to the people from this deadly heat.
When will the storm and rain start in Lucknow and Noida-NCR?
Talking about the major cities of UP and the capital Lucknow, the weather patterns are going to change in a phased manner:
-
Capital Lucknow: Today (May 27) the maximum temperature in Lucknow is around 41 to 42 degrees Celsius and the humidity is very high. However, the Meteorological Department estimates that the movement of clouds will start here from the evening of May 28. There are chances of good rains with strong winds in Lucknow and surrounding districts between May 29 and 31. Due to this, the temperature here can fall directly to 35 degrees Celsius.
-
Noida and Ghaziabad (NCR): The weather in these areas of Western UP adjacent to Delhi will also change completely from May 28. Light to moderate showers with dust storm and thundershowers are expected. Due to the activation of Western Disturbance, the effect of the ongoing severe heat wave in Noida will be completely eliminated and the temperature will drop significantly.
Winds can blow at a speed of 90 km per hour, there is also a possibility of hailstorm
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning saying that this time this series of thunderstorms can be very aggressive. In some parts of Uttar Pradesh, the wind speed can reach 60 to 90 kilometers per hour during a storm. Along with this, an alert has also been issued for hailstorm and lightning in some selected districts of Western and Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Important advice from IMD for the general public and farmers-
The Meteorological Department has appealed to the people to take special precautions in view of the warning of bad weather. Avoid standing in open fields, under trees and electric poles or tall hoardings during thunderstorms. Farmers in rural areas have been advised to keep their harvested crops in safe places so that they are not damaged by storm and hail.
