The export of these items to Maldives has been allowed under the bilateral trade agreement between the two countries during the financial year 2024-25.
According to the notification, the shipment of these commodities to Maldives in the financial year 2024-25 starting from April 1 will be exempted from any existing or future restrictions or prohibition on export. Permission to export rice-124,218.36 metric tons, wheat flour-109,162.96 metric tons, sugar-64,494.33 metric tons, potatoes-21,513.08 metric tons, onions-35,749.13 metric tons, pulses-224.48 metric tons and 427.5 million eggs to South Asian country Maldives. Has given. Apart from this, permission has been given to export 1-1 million tonnes of stone and river sand.
