After the tragic coaching center fire in Aliganj, Lucknow, the politics of Uttar Pradesh has completely heated up. The state government has adopted a very aggressive stance on the statements of Samajwadi Party (SP) chief and MP Akhilesh Yadav regarding this accident. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak (Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak) and Cabinet Minister Anil Rajbhar have directly targeted Akhilesh Yadav and alleged that the Samajwadi Party is doing ‘politics over dead bodies’ in the struggle for power, whereas the main roots of this entire incident are related to the corruption of the SP regime itself.
Brajesh Pathak’s counterattack: ‘Plot allotment and illegal connections happened in your government in 2016’
Responding to Akhilesh Yadav’s statement on the accident, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak said in a very sharp tone that when the entire country is saddened by the death of 15 innocent people in this tragic accident, then the opposition is doing petty politics on this.
Big allegation of Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak:
“The SP chief knows very well that the allotment of this disputed plot in 2016, the corruption in it and the illegal connection of electricity happened during the time of his government. It was your (SP) government that first sealed that place and later unsealed it due to corruption. The roots of Samajwadi Party’s corruption are so deep that today the entire state is facing its dire consequences. Our entire government stands firmly with the citizens of Lucknow who have We have lost our loved ones, please don’t do politics on this.”
Anil Rajbhar’s attack: ‘Akhilesh is giving statements sitting in AC rooms, has no time to meet the victims’
Uttar Pradesh Government Cabinet Minister Anil Rajbhar, who reached Sant Kabir Nagar, also expressed deep grief over this accident and took the Samajwadi Party to task. He said that considering the seriousness of the accident, the Chief Minister immediately constituted a SIT, due to which the main accused have been arrested and the culprits will be given such punishment which will set an example.
Continuing the attack, Rajbhar said, “Akhilesh Yadav is issuing statements only while sitting in air conditioned (AC) rooms. He does not have time to go to the ground among the affected families and share their grief. This incident has exposed the old corruption eco-system of the Samajwadi Party, which used to promote illegal constructions.”
Big action of LDA: Punishment will fall on 18 engineers, report sent to government
On the administrative front, Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) now seems to be in full action mode. LDA Vice President Prathamesh Kumar, after completing the preliminary investigation, has prepared a list of officials who were negligent in the construction and monitoring of illegal buildings:
-
Their fixed responsibilities: LDA has found the then prescribed authority, 05 zonal officers and 18 engineers to be the main culprits for the construction of this illegal building and ignoring the safety standards.
-
Recommendation to the government: Vice President Prathamesh Kumar has sent his detailed report to the Uttar Pradesh government recommending strict punitive action against all these 23 guilty officers and engineers. It is believed that soon all of them may face the heavy punishment of suspension and departmental inquiry.
CM Yogi’s high-level meeting: ‘Coaching and nursing homes will not run in basements, no compromise on security’
For a detailed and point-wise review of the fire, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a special and high-level meeting with senior officials of the government. The Chief Minister said in clear words that this unfortunate incident in Lucknow is a big lesson for the entire state and now the fire safety standards will not be compromised even an iota in the state.

-
