• New Delhi: Petrol is stable at ₹102.12 per liter and diesel at ₹83.09 per liter in the country’s capital.

• Mumbai: Fuel is the most expensive in Mayanagari, here petrol is being sold at ₹111.18 per liter and diesel at ₹86.00 per liter.

• Kolkata: Here the price of one liter petrol has been recorded at ₹113.47 and the price of diesel at ₹93.50.

• Chennai: Petrol price in the Tamil Nadu capital is ₹107.77 per liter and diesel is ₹91.50 per liter.

Condition of cities of Uttar Pradesh and Delhi-NCR

Today’s prices in the industrial areas of Uttar Pradesh adjacent to Delhi and the capital Lucknow are as follows:

• Noida: Today petrol is available at the rate of ₹ 102.12 per liter and diesel at ₹ 91.70 per liter in Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida).

• Lucknow: In the city of Nawabs, Lucknow, the rate of petrol is ₹102.05 per liter and the price of diesel is ₹95.75 per liter.

Why have prices remained stable for the last two years?

There has been a remarkable stability in the Indian fuel market since May 2022. At that time, huge cuts in excise duty and VAT were made by the Central Government and many state governments to provide relief to the general public from inflation.
