News India Live, Digital Desk: Potato peels contain plenty of fiber and vitamins. When cooked properly, their flavor and crunch can beat any regular chips.

Ingredients:

Potato Peels: 2-3 large potatoes (coarse and peeled)

Oil: to fry

Salt: as per taste

chilli powder: ½ tsp

Spice: 1 tbsp

Cornflour (optional): 1 tsp (for extra crisp)

Method of preparation (Step-by-Step Instructions):

Preparation: First of all, before peeling the potatoes, scrub them thoroughly and wash them so that the soil is completely removed. Now remove some thick peels with the help of peeler.

Cleaning and Drying: Wash the peels once in clean water and then spread them on a cotton cloth or tissue paper. drain off excess water completely. (This step is most important to make the chips crispy).

Coating: Take the dried peels in a bowl, sprinkle some cornflour in it (this makes the chips more crunchy).

Frying: Heat oil in a pan. When the oil becomes medium hot, slowly add the peels and fry until golden brown.

Masala Mix: Remove the fried peels in a plate. Now sprinkle salt, red chilli and chaat masala on top. Your ‘zero waste’ dish is ready!

Potato Selection: For this recipe, slightly older and thicker skinned potatoes give better results rather than new potatoes or potatoes with thin skin.
