News India Live, Digital Desk: It is said that ‘love and lust cannot be hidden’ and when love comes to the fore, a person is ready to do anything, even if he has to cross the border. One such filmy and shocking case was seen on the India-Pakistan border in Sriganganagar, Rajasthan, where BSF soldiers caught a 21-year-old boy, who was planning to go to Pakistan on foot.

When BSF interrogated him, the jawans also sat down holding their heads after hearing the reason that came to light. Actually, this young man was crossing the border to meet his Pakistani girlfriend.

Journey from Maharashtra to Rajasthan

The 21-year-old youth caught is a resident of Maharashtra and his name is Mohammad Ilyas. During interrogation by the intelligence wing of BSF and the police, he told that he had become friends with a girl from Pakistan through social media. Gradually this friendship turned into love. Both used to talk for hours.

The girl is from a city in Pakistan and expressed her desire to meet Ilyas. Ilyas, deeply in love, became so desperate to meet her that he took a dangerous decision without thinking.

Plan made to measure the border on foot

Ilyas neither got a passport made nor applied for a visa. He thought he would cross the border on foot and meet his girlfriend. He took a train from Maharashtra to Sriganganagar in Rajasthan. From here he started moving towards the border. He had reached very close to the border, near the fencing.

Could not escape the eyes of BSF

It was late night and the darkness was also dense. Ilyas felt that he would easily cross the border by dodging the BSF soldiers. But, he could not escape the sharp eyes of the BSF soldiers deployed on the border. Seeing suspicious activity near the fencing, the soldiers became alert and immediately caught Ilyas.

Initially they thought that he might be a spy or a smuggler, but when he was searched and interrogated, the whole ‘love story’ came to light.

At present the youth is in the custody of the Joint Interrogation Team (JIC) of security agencies. Efforts are being made to find out from him whether he was really just going to meet his girlfriend or there is some deeper secret behind it. But at first sight it seems to be the case of ‘an innocent lover in love’.
