Cannons roared again on the border! Fierce firing between Taliban and Pakistani army, war-like situation

Posts

Just days after the airstrike by Islamabad on Afghan soil, the tension between the two countries has once again reached its peak. There are reports of heavy firing between Taliban fighters and Pakistani army on the Durand Line dividing Afghanistan and Pakistan, due to which a war-like situation has arisen on the border.

War broke out on Khyber Pass

According to media reports, this fierce firing is strategically important. Khyber Pass Has happened near. Not only small arms but also heavy weapons like artillery and mortars are being used by both sides. Many such videos are going viral on social media, in which sounds of fierce firing from both sides and balls of fire can be clearly seen in the darkness of the night.

This firing shows that Taliban is not going to remain silent after the airstrike conducted by Pakistan on the Afghan border.

Why has tension increased so much?

There are two main reasons at the root of this latest conflict between the two countries:

  1. Pakistan’s airstrike: Recently, Pakistan had carried out air strikes inside Afghanistan claiming that ‘Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’ (TTP) terrorists were hiding there. Many civilians were killed in these attacks, after which the Taliban threatened Pakistan of “dire consequences”.
  2. TTP issue: Pakistan has long been accusing the Taliban of harboring TTP, which is responsible for many terrorist attacks inside Pakistan. At the same time, Taliban has been denying these allegations.

Difficulties of common people increased

This conflict between the two armies has made the lives of common people living on the border hell. The Khyber Pass, which is the main route of trade and movement between the two countries, has been closed. Thousands of trucks and people are stranded on both sides of the border.

This aggressive stance of Taliban is sending a clear message that it will not tolerate any external attack on its land, even if the attacker is its neighboring country Pakistan. At present, tension on the border is very high and there is a possibility of the situation worsening further.
