This warning is mainly given due to bad weather, especially dense fog, causing a direct impact on the flights. The HYDDA administration, which Delhi International Airport Limited (Dial) operates, has stated that due to poor visibility, flights may have to be delayed or their routes may have to be changed. Passengers have been urged to contact their airline before starting their journey and check their flight. This is a very important advice to protect the passengers from unnecessary trouble. The IGI officials had specifically informed about the low visibility due to dense fog on the runway at around 7:30 am. According to the data of the Meteorological Department, the outbreak of cold continues in Delhi and the temperature is being recorded continuously in this season. On Tuesday, the minimum temperature was 4.8 degrees Celsius in Safdarjung and 6 degrees Celsius in Palam, which is considered to be the coldest day of this season. It is worth mentioning that not only Delhi, but also in neighboring states like Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, the effect of fog and cold wave is being seen. The Meteorological Department has further predicted a similar weather conditions, which may affect air travel for the next few days.
