Heavy Rain Wreaks Havoc in Himachal Pradesh: 196 roads closed, life disrupted by landslides

Heavy Rain Wreaks Havoc in Himachal Pradesh: Heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh and its landsmins have caused heavy havoc across the state. Despite the warning of the Meteorological Department in many districts, the rainfall has not stopped, due to which the situation remains serious. The biggest problem is the closure of roads, so far 196 roads in the state have been closed for traffic due to landsmates and heavy waterlogging. Major districts like Kangra, Kullu, Shimla, Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti and Mandi have been particularly affected. The closure of roads in these areas has not only disrupted normal life, but tourists are also facing huge inconvenience. The contact routes with the incidents of accumulation of debris on the hill paths and road cutting in many places have come to a standstill. Due to this torrential rains, the temperature has also dropped, causing some relief from the heat, but the risk of landslides and floods remains continuously. The administration teams are engaged on a war footing to open roads and provide necessary assistance to the affected areas. People are being appealed to take care and stay away from unsafe areas as a precaution.
