Along with this, he alleged that on one hand there is the issue of electoral bonds, on the other hand the economic aspects of the country's main opposition party are being attacked. Actually those funds come from the public. It has been stopped. However, we will continue our election campaign. We all believe that this is an unprecedented and undemocratic act.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also expressed displeasure over this and said that this is a very dangerous game. Competition should be at the same level. The Supreme Court declared electoral bonds illegal and called them unconstitutional. Under this scheme, the ruling party (BJP) has filled its bank accounts with thousands of crores of rupees. On the other hand, the bank accounts of one of the conspirators, the main opposition, have been frozen, so there is no level playing field to contest the elections. If democracy is to be saved in the country then competition should be on an equal level. And elections should be conducted in a fair manner.
Kharge further said that the government under the leadership of BJP has collected money for the party by finding various loopholes. I don't want to reveal how much money I got from which company.
At the end of his speech, the Congress President said that in fact no political party (fund) comes under the purview of income tax.
