Delhi Assembly Elections: The tension between Congress and AAP has increased with the entry of CPI (M), a supporter of Congress and AAP supporter CPI (M), which is part of the Bharat Alliance in the Lok Sabha, into the Delhi Assembly elections. Assembly elections are going to be held soon in the Union Territory of Delhi. This time the main contest in Delhi is between Aam Aadmi Party and BJP. Congress is also trying hard in this election. In such a situation, politics has heated up with the entry of CPI.

CPI (M) will field six candidates

Senior CPI (M) leader Brinda Karat said, ‘Left parties have decided to give tickets to candidates in the Delhi Assembly elections. He will contest elections from six assembly seats. Whereas on other seats the Left parties will support the strongest candidates fighting against the BJP.

CPI(M) will contest on two out of six seats

Participating in the eighth Jharkhand Pradesh Congress, Brinda Karat said, ‘CPI (M) will contest elections on two out of six seats in Delhi. Left parties will make every possible effort to defeat BJP in the national capital Delhi. Therefore, we will support strong candidates against BJP on all seats.

When are the elections in Delhi?

The Election Commission on Tuesday announced the date of assembly elections in the Union Territory of Delhi. Assembly elections will be held on 70 seats of Delhi in a single phase. According to the Election Commission, voting for Delhi Assembly elections will take place on 5 February 2025 and the results will be declared on 8 February 2025.
