Haridwar, 30 November (HS). There is anger among the saints of Juna Akhara regarding the former MP Mahesh Giri who has accused Mahant Hari Giri Maharaj, the international patron of Juna Akhara, of calling the Bhootnath Mahadev temple located in Junagadh of Shri Panch Dashnam Juna Akhara as his personal property. Considering the seriousness of the case, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Avadheshanand Giri of Juna Akhara has constituted an 11-member investigation committee, which will seriously investigate all these accused and submit its report in seven days. Action will be taken on the basis of the report.

The patron of the committee will be Mahant Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Avadheshanand Giri Maharaj and the committee will conduct the investigation under the chairmanship of Mahant Mohan Bharti Maharaj. Mahamandaleshwar Kapil Puri Maharaj, Mahamandaleshwar Maheshwar Anand Giri Maharaj, Mahant Ganpat Giri, Mahant Kedarpuri, Mahant Siddheshwar Yeti, Mahant Anand Giri, Mahant Niranjan Bharti, Mahant Shivanand Saraswati and international spokesperson Mahant Narayan Giri Maharaj have been appointed as members of the inquiry committee.

In this regard, the international spokesperson of Juna Akhara, Mahant Narayan Giri Maharaj, says that Mahant Amrit Giri Maharaj had entrusted the responsibility of looking after the Kamandal Kund located in Junagadh to Mahesh Giri, but he left the Sanyas religion and became a householder and later moved to Delhi. He became an MP after contesting elections, but now he has retired again with the intention of taking over Bhootnath Temple, Junagadh and other properties and has laid claim on Bhootnath Mahadev Temple. The formed committee will bring out the facts and take action against Mahesh Giri because the ownership of all the properties of Juna Khade is vested in Lord Dattatreya. In such a situation, Mahesh Giri’s claim is absurd and false.
