Government bans mayonnaise: Telangana government has taken an important decision. Recently the state medical and health department had decided to ban mayonnaise. A few days ago, GHMC officials had written a letter to the Telangana government asking them to ban this substance which is killing people.

A woman died after eating momos in Nandinagar slum of Banjara Hills. Additionally, consumers in several parts of Hyderabad fell seriously ill after consuming mayonnaise. In this background, Health Minister Damodar Rajnarasimha conducted the inspection along with officials of the Food Safety Department.

During inspection it came to light that food poisoning was occurring due to mayonnaise. He had decided to ban it. Now the Food Safety Commissioner has issued an order on Wednesday banning mayonnaise in Telangana.

The order states that the ban will continue for one year. The state government has taken this decision in the wake of several people falling ill after consuming contaminated and adulterated mayonnaise in the GHMC area.

Additionally, eating mayonnaise may increase blood sugar levels. There is a possibility of problems like diabetes, overweight, high blood pressure, heart disease, headache, nausea. High cholesterol in the body can increase the risk of heart disease.
