Faridabad, 2 November (HS). After Diwali, preparations for Chhath festival have been started in Faridabad. Since Saturday, people of Purvanchal have started cleaning the Chhath Ghats. Cleaning of Chhath Ghat near Sector 3 bridge of Ballabhgarh has started. Sudish Yadav, President of Purvanchal Vikas Manch, said that preparations for cleaning Chhath Ghat are started after Diwali.
The pond inside the ghat is also painted. He said that Chhath festival starts with bathing and eating. This time, on 7th November, the setting sun will be given 'Adhraya'. Next day, on 8th November, everyone will offer Chhathvarti Adhyaya to the rising Sun. Cultural programs are also organized here on Chhath evening in which artists come from far and wide. A large number of people come from Sector 3, Chawla Colony, Sector 4, Sector 7, Tirkha Colony, Ismailpur, Sehatpur, Palla to celebrate Chhath at this ghat.
Every year there is a huge crowd here. People celebrate Chhath festival with great enthusiasm. He said that there is not much support from the administration at this ghat, everything has to be done personally. We even request the administration but still do not get their support. He said that the administration is requested to make arrangements for cleaning Chhath Ghat.
