Ajmer, 16 October (HS). The Halwa Prasad made in Pushkar Gurudwara has been found to be pure. The Central Government has issued the certificate after quality check. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Jyotsna Ranga handed over the certificate issued to Gurudwara Sri Guru Nanak Sahib in Pushkar under the Innovation Bhog (Blissful and Hygienic Offering to God) of FSSAI, an organization of the Government of India, to Baba Sukhwinder Singh, the Chief Granthi of the Gurudwara.
This certificate will be valid for the next 2 years. Food Safety Officer Sushil Chotwani said that before issuing the Bhog Prasad certificate, pre and post audit was conducted in the Gurudwara by the team of FSSAI New Delhi. In which the ingredients used in preparing the Prasad, water and medical fitness of the person preparing the Prasad etc. were examined.
According to the information, after the Prasadam controversy of Shri Tirupati Balaji Temple, the quality of Prasad made in temples etc. across the country is being checked. FSSAI, a central government agency, tests the food items and water used for making Prasad.
The offering of Shri Nimbark Peeth Kishangarh has also been found pure. Food safety officer Chotwani said that the indulgence certificate is issued after a long and complicated process. Medical fitness is necessary for those preparing Prasad in a religious institution. Renewal is done only after the prescribed process.
