Moradabad, 07 October (Hindustan Reporter). Moradabad officials of the state tax department have started investigating the records seized from four stone crushers in Rampur district. If new facts emerge during the investigation, notices will be sent to the concerned traders.
Let us tell you that the State Tax Department team on Friday raided four stone crushers located in Swar in Rampur district and detected GST evasion of Rs 20 crore. Investigation found that the four traders were not showing their actual sales for tax evasion. The officers deployed in the team had seized a large number of records from the spot. The businessmen had immediately deposited Rs 52 lakh when the irregularities came to light.
State Tax Office's Additional Commissioner Grade-2 RA Seth said on Monday that after examining the records, notices will be issued to the concerned traders and their answers will be sought. The investigating officer will prepare his report within 90 days and present it to higher officials. Complete details of GST evasion will be revealed in the investigation report.
