Ghaziabad, October 7 (HS). State Principal Secretary Urban Development/Nodal Officer Ghaziabad Amrit Abhijat said here on Monday that it is our responsibility to maintain cleanliness, beauty and clean environment. We have to discharge our responsibilities seriously.
Amrit Abhijat said this while presiding over a meeting at Mahatma Gandhi Auditorium, Collectorate. In the meeting, he consulted the district level officers on development works, public complaints and other issues including NGT.
-The winning participants of the program organized by Social Forestry Division were honored.
Amrit Abhijat, Social Forestry Division, Ghaziabad Range, Ghaziabad organized a poetry writing and painting competition on wildlife conservation through co-existence from 01 October to 07 October in view of Wildlife Week-2024. In which Aaradhya Shukla DPS in poetry writing

Instructions given to submit proposals for 'Upvan Yojana' within a week
The Principal Secretary said that all the executive officers should submit the proposals for 'Upvan Yojana' in the cities within a week. Expressing his displeasure over the low recovery of the civic bodies, he gave instructions to increase the private sources of the civic body and achieve 100 per cent recovery. It was informed by the Principal Secretary in the meeting that the government will give an additional grant of Rs 05 crore to those bodies which will collect 10 percent more revenue.
-Taken information about RTE and rejuvenation of schools from Basic Education Department.
The Principal Secretary took detailed information about RTE and the transformation of schools, on which he was informed that admissions were being conducted under RTE and a letter would be sent to the concerned Director General against the 6 schools which did not conduct admissions under RTE. A letter has been sent to cancel their recognition. Said that there are 456 schools of Basic Education Department in the district, out of which 350 schools are being reorganized and the remaining will also be reorganized soon. Shri Amrit Abhijat said that as per the wish of the Chief Minister, all the schools should be modernized, they should be supplied with drinking water, toilets, cleanliness, computers, smart boards and other modernized items. Along with this, schools should be inspected from time to time to provide better education. It was also seen how the attendance of the child/teacher was and how better the result was compared to before. Therefore, special attention should be paid to attendance and examination results.
-Taken cognizance of IGRS complaints
The Principal Secretary took details of the complaints disposed on IGRS after receiving unsatisfactory feedback, in which he was informed that quality disposal has been done in 5 complaints. Out of which there was one complaint each from Revenue, Municipal Corporation, GDA, Police Department and Urban Development.
-Proposal put forward for food plant and old age home
The Municipal Commissioner made an application to set up a plant for making food from cow dung. He told that the dairies throw cow and buffalo dung into the drains due to which the drains get clogged, if the Municipal Corporation collects the dung from the dairies like garbage and makes food from it, then the revenue will be benefited from it. Along with this, the Municipal Commissioner said that if the Municipal Corporation builds a modern old age home, the revenue will also benefit from it. The Principal Secretary said that the Municipal Corporation should send proposals on both the above mentioned points.
-Knowed about pothole free road campaign
The Principal Secretary took information about the pothole free road campaign, on which the departments informed that the roads of the district will become pothole free before October 20.
Amrit Abhijat said that as per the instructions and wishes of the Chief Minister, all the roads of the district should be made pothole-free before the festival, all the government schools of the Basic Education Department should be modernized. Every complaint should be resolved with quality. Every village and city should be made clean, beautiful and educated. The district should be beautified with trees and plants, so that every person can breathe clean air. Our endeavor is the development of every individual.
GDA Vice President Atul Vats, Secretary Rajesh Singh, DPRO Pradeep Kumar Dwivedi, District Information Officer Yogendra Pratap Singh, EO/representatives of all the bodies and other district level officers were present in the meeting.
