Hisar, September 24 (HS). Under the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, Azad Hind Yuva Club, Village Kirtan, organised a programme with the support of Mai Bharat and District Administration, Hisar. In the programme, Club President Kapoor Singh Arya said on Tuesday that from September 17 to October 2, India has to be made plastic free in the villages.
This fortnightly campaign launched by Prime Minister Modi will be run in every village.
Social service organizations will do this work. He told that polythene is a big problem, many diseases in the country are caused by polythene, if it is removed from our lives then we can get rid of many diseases. He told that we buy everything in polythene. If any hot thing is put in polythene then it becomes poison. Therefore people should pledge from today that they will not use polythene. Kapoor Singh told that today a cleanliness drive was conducted in the village around the health center, Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra and near the temple and people were made aware about the ill effects of polythene.
