8th Pay Commission: Government employees concerned with this move of the government

More than 1.2 crore central employees and pensioners are in a state of confusion due to lack of clarity on the 8th Pay Commission. The central government announced the formation of the 8th Pay Commission in January this year. Its field of work was expected to be decided in April. However, even after six months have passed, the terms of references have not been decided yet and the work of the Commission has not started. There is a lot of confusion about the progress of the Eighth Pay Commission between employees and pensioners. Some media institutions are publishing reports about salary hike, fitment factor and possible dates of implementation. However, in fact, the official process of the Commission is still stopping. The name of the chairman of the Commission or the appointment of members has not been decided yet. Due to this situation, various pensioner organizations and employee unions have raised the issue on various forums and have written to the government requesting to speed up the process of formation of the commission.
