Faridabad terrorist attack: In today’s time, the dark clouds of terrorism are looming over the country and recently, Jammu and Kashmir Police has taken a shocking action and foiled one such big conspiracy. A huge quantity of explosives and weapons have been recovered from the rented room of a doctor in Haryana’s Faridabad city, leaving the security agencies in panic. The incident points to unexpected connections to terror networks, where businessmen may also be involved in such crimes.
If we look at the details of this operation, based on the intelligence received by the police, a special team of Jammu and Kashmir Police along with the local police carried out this operation. Items seized from the room included about 300 kg of RDX, an AK-47 rifle, 84 cartridges and a huge quantity of suspected chemicals. Looking at the quantity of these things, it can be estimated how destructive this conspiracy could have been, and how much disaster could have been avoided by stopping it in time.
The investigation is related to the banned terrorist organization named Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGH). Investigation has revealed that three doctors were directly associated with this organization. Two of them have been arrested – Adil Ahmed Rather, a resident of Anantnag, from Saharanpur and Muzammil Shakeel, a resident of Pulwama, from Faridabad. The third doctor is still absconding and the police is busy searching for him.
Of these, the name of Adil Ahmed Rather has already come into controversies. Recently, an AK-47 rifle was found from his personal locker at Anantnag Medical College. He was working there as a senior resident doctor, but he left his post on October 24, 2024. Since this incident, more attention has focused on his suspicious activities.
Initial investigation revealed that Adil and his fellow doctors were trying to revive the AGH network. This organization was founded in 2017 by former Hizbul Mujahideen commander Zakir Musa and its aim is to establish an Islamic state based on Sharia law in Kashmir and wage jihad against India. Stopping the activities of such organizations is a big challenge for the security agencies.
At present, the police and other agencies are investigating the matter further to find out how such a huge quantity of RDX and weapons reached Faridabad and what was the role of doctors in it. Investigations have revealed that this network is spread across several states, including areas like Kashmir Valley, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. This incident draws attention to the need to further strengthen the internal security system of the country, so that such conspiracies can be stopped in time and the safety of citizens can be ensured. Such actions send a strong message to terrorist elements that no one can escape the eyes of the law.
