Post

News India Live, Digital Desk: Central Government Scheme:There is a huge and good news for people living in the three largest and busy cities of Jharkhand – Ranchi, Jamshedpur and Dhanbad. The echo of a metro train may soon be heard in these cities struggling with traffic jams and pollution. Taking a major step in this direction, the central government has sought a ‘comprehensive mobility scheme’ i.e. Compressive Mobility Plan (CP) for these three cities.

This news is like a dream come true for millions of people of these cities who have been waiting for a better and fast public transport system for years.

What is this CMP and what does it mean?

Before starting a big project like metro in any city, it is important to know whether the city really needs it or not, what will be its route, how many people will use it and how much will it be spent on it. Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMP) is a wide blueprint of this.

The Central Government seeking this plan from the state government is an indication that now the metro project is being seriously considered and this is not just an election promise. As soon as the state government will prepare this report and submit it to the Center, the way for the next phase of the project will be cleared.

Why were these 3 cities chosen?

  1. Ranchi (Ranchi): Being the state capital, population and traffic pressure is the highest. With the arrival of the metro, the traffic system of the city can change completely.
  2. Jamshedpur: Being the state’s industrial capital and a major commercial hub, there is a strict requirement of a fast and modern transport system here.
  3. Dhanbad (dhanbad): Dhanbad, known as the coal capital of the country, has also increased very fast. Here too the need for metro has been felt for a long time.

What will change with metro coming?

  • Liberation from jam: The burden of trains on the roads will be reduced, which will save people to get stuck in jam for hours.
  • Fast and cheap journey: People will be able to reach from one corner of the city to another for less time and less money.
  • Reduction in pollution: Increased use of public transport will also reduce pollution levels.
  • New speed of development: With the arrival of the metro, the development of cities will also get a new momentum.

However, the metro running on the land is still far -fetched. It will take many years now, but this one step of the central government has given a new hope in the minds of the people of Jharkhand.
