Heat Wave: There is severe heat in many cities of the country including North India. People are suffering due to the scorching heat. The havoc of heat is also being seen in Bihar. 16 people have died due to heat wave in Aurangabad district.
All schools have been ordered to remain closed till June 8
Due to the scorching heat in Bihar, the state government on Wednesday ordered all private and government schools, coaching institutes and Anganwadi centers to remain closed till June 8. However, cases of government school teachers fainting have also been reported from many areas including Sheikhpura, Begusarai, Muzaffarpur and East Champaran due to the scorching heat. Please note that government schools are closed for students, not for teachers.
The heat is likely to continue
According to the weather department (IMD) forecast, scorching heat is likely to continue in many parts of Bihar in the coming days. Aurangabad (46.1 degrees Celsius), Dehri (46 degrees Celsius), Gaya (45.2 degrees Celsius), Arwal (44.8 degrees Celsius) and Bhojpur (44.1 degrees Celsius) were the places where temperatures were recorded above 44 degrees Celsius. Bihar's capital Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 40.7 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
