Relief in lpg cylinder price in April:
Relief in lpg cylinder price in April:

April begins with a good news for the common people. Commercial gas cylinders have been cut on 1 April 2025, which provided some relief to restaurants, dhabas and small traders. However, there is no change in the prices of domestic gas cylinders, they are still available at the old rate itself.

Commercial gas cylinder cheaper, reduction of ₹ 41

On the first date of every month, oil companies announce new prices of LPG cylinders. This time the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has been cut by ₹ 41. Earlier this cylinder was ₹ 1803, which has now been reduced to ₹ 1762. This change has come at a time when the prices of this cylinder were slightly increased at the end of last month. But with the beginning of April, it has seen a decline.

Oil companies released new prices

From April 1, oil marketing companies across the country have implemented new prices of LPG cylinders. New rates of 19 kg commercial cylinders are among the major cities:

  • Delhi: ₹ 1762
  • Mumbai: ₹ 1713.50
  • Kolkata: ₹ 1868.50
  • Chennai: ₹ 1921.50

In the month of March, there was a slight increase in the prices of commercial cylinders in these cities, but now the traders will definitely get some relief.

No change in domestic LPG cylinder prices

Now let’s talk about domestic LPG cylinder. It is a matter of relief for the general public that prices have not been increased, but disappointment is that there is no cut. The prices of 14.2 kg domestic cylinders have remained stable since 1 August 2024. The current rates in major cities are something like this:

  • Delhi: ₹ 803
  • Mumbai: ₹ 802.50
  • Kolkata: ₹ 829
  • Chennai: ₹ 818.50

There was definitely some relief in March 2024, but no change has been seen since then.

This time the cut in commercial gas prices is definitely relaxing for traders, but domestic users are still waiting for relief. It is expected that in the coming months, the general public will also get some relief in gas expenses.
