News India Live, Digital Desk: Durga SaptShati Text: When Maa Durga comes to earth in Sharadiya Navratri, every devotee performs worship, fast and rituals to get their grace. Among all these practices, the recitation of ‘Durga Saptashati’ is considered to be the most important and powerful. It is believed that in the nine days of Navratri, whoever recites it with true mind and right method, Mother Durga fulfills all her wishes. But, often in the absence of information, people make some such mistakes during the lesson, so that they do not get the full fruits of worship.

Preparation before starting text

  1. Take a pledge: Any worship begins with resolve. On the first day, take water, flowers and Akshat (rice) in your hand and take a pledge that for what wishes you are reciting for and how many days.
  2. Take care of purity: Sprinkle Ganga water and sanctify the place where you want to recite. Take a bath and wear clean, washed clothes. It is better that you sit on a red woolen posture and recite.
  3. Honor the book: Do not read Durga Saptashati’s book directly on the ground or in hand. Install it by laying a red cloth on a clean post and worship.

The correct method of Durga Saptashati recitation

Just opening the book and starting reading the chapter is not the right way. Durga Saptashati is recited in a particular order, which is mandatory to follow:

  • Ganesh Pujan: First of all, meditate on Lord Ganesha and worship him, so that your text is complete without any disturbance
  • Camponation and Class: All the mantras of Durga Saptashati are cursed, so they are awakened by reciting ‘Shapodhar’ and ‘Keelak’ Stotra before recitation.
  • Kavach and Argala: After this, recite ‘Devi Kavach’, which protects you from all kinds of negative energy. Then ‘Argala Stotra’ is recited, which is to ask for a boon of happiness, prosperity and victory from the mother.
  • Chanting of Navarna Mantra: Navarna mantra before starting and ending the text ‘Om and Hr Klein Chamundayi Vichhe’ Do chant a garland of (108 times).
  • Thirteen chapters text: Now recite all 13 chapters of Durga Saptashati. Keep in mind that the pronunciation is absolutely clean and pure while reciting. Do not read very fast or very slowly.
  • Siddha Kunjika Stotra and forgiveness prayer: At the end of the text, recite ‘Siddha Kunjika Stotra’, because without it the text of Saptashati is considered incomplete. In the end, pray for forgiveness to Maa Durga for any mistake in unknowingly and unknowingly.

Take special care of these things during the lesson

  • Do not leave incomplete: Do not leave it incomplete once you start the text. If it is not possible to read the entire 13 chapters in a day, then you can also read it by distributing it in nine days.
  • Keep the mind calm: While reciting, focus your full focus on the nature of Mother Durga and the words of the text. Do not let the mind wander
  • Brahmacharya and Satvikta: As long as you are reciting, follow celibacy and do not use tamasic food like garlic-onion in the house.
