Schools and government offices will remain closed in Telangana, especially in the Jubilee Hills assembly constituency, due to the by-elections.

Effect of pollution in Delhi-NCR

The situation is completely different in the country’s capital Delhi and its adjoining areas (NCR). The reason for the holiday here is not elections, but the ‘poison’ present in the air i.e. air pollution which has reached dangerous levels. In view of the poor air quality in Delhi, the government has implemented the rules of Graded Rinse Action Plan (GRAP-III).

Under this, schools have not been completely closed, but hybrid mode Instructions have been given to run in. This means that parents have the option to send their children to school or conduct online classes from home. This rule has been implemented especially for junior classes (up to class 5), so that small children can be protected from the effects of dangerous pollution.

What is the situation in the rest of the country?

Except the above states and Delhi-N-CR, schools in all other parts of the country will remain open as normal on November 12, 2025. There is no big festival or national festival on this day.
