Why did America’s deep state fail in India? The reason which every Indian should know

News India Live, Digital Desk: It is said that in a democracy the people are supreme, but in the last few years a theory has come into discussion which says that governments are just a ‘mask’. Real power lies with those who never contest elections. This is called ‘deep state’.

What is this ‘deep state’?
Simply put, ‘Deep State’ is a group of influential government officials, intelligence agency officials, army veterans and even billionaire businessmen and NGOs, which decides the country’s policies behind the scenes. Their objective is that no matter who becomes the President, the real control remains in their hands. This word came into limelight in America during the era of Donald Trump.

Is there a ‘deep state’ in India too?
It is often said that foreign powers and some big foreign industrialists try to interfere in the internal affairs of India. They want India to take its foreign policy or business decisions as per their wish. In the last few years, the ‘Global Narrative’ against India was seen as an effort of this ‘Deep State’.

But why is it not successful in India?
Now the question arises that when ‘Deep State’ becomes successful in many big countries, then why is it not successful in India? There are some big reasons for this:

  1. Strong political leadership: India has had a very stable and clear mandate government for the last decade. When a government has strong public support, it becomes easier to withstand and crush external pressures.
  2. Private Security Agencies and Loyalty: India’s intelligence agencies and security forces are directly committed to the security of the Prime Minister and the country. Here in the bureaucracy, the system of ‘political appointments’ is very different from America.
  3. Strict legal monitoring: The Indian government has in recent years tightened regulations (such as the FCRA) to monitor foreign funding and NGOs. Due to this, the ‘Deep State’ has stopped getting fertilizer and water.
  4. Roots of Indian Civilization: The common citizen of India today is more aware than ever before. Whenever there is a conspiracy to weaken India from outside through social media or international media, Indians recognize it.

Overall, the ‘Deep State’ is a challenge that every growing country faces. The specialty of India is that the roots of democracy here are so deep that outside winds can shake it, but cannot uproot it.
