News India Live, Digital Desk: These days a new ‘family war’ is raging in the politics of Bihar, which has increased the problems of the ruling party JDU. The fight has intensified after the disqualification notice was issued to Chanakya Prakash, son of JDU MP Girdhari Yadav from Banka, after contesting the assembly elections on Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) ticket. On this entire issue, Lalu Yadav’s elder daughter and RJD MP Misa Bharti has taken a tough stand and slammed JDU.

“Girdhari Yadav’s son is an adult, not a slave” – Misa Bharti During a conversation with the media, when Misa Bharti was asked about this rebellion, she clearly said that Girdhari Yadav’s son is an ‘adult’ and in a democracy, he has full right to choose his ideology. Misa tauntedly said, “Girdhari Yadav may be in NDA and a JDU MP, but his son is independent. He must have taken the decision to go with RJD after careful consideration. Questioning the membership of the father for the decision of someone’s son is beyond comprehension.”

Panic in JDU, threat to MP’s chair! The matter became more serious when JDU parliamentary party leader Dileshwar Kamait applied to the Lok Sabha Speaker to cancel the membership of Girdhari Yadav. JDU alleges that Girdhari Yadav not only made his son contest elections from RJD but also secretly campaigned for him, which comes under the ambit of anti-party activity. Let us tell you that Chanakya Prakash had contested the elections on RJD ticket from Belhar assembly seat, where he was fielded against the JDU candidate.

Misa Bharti’s counterattack: “Should I give the list?” While intensifying the attack on JDU, Misa Bharti made another big claim. He said that there are many big leaders in NDA who work for RJD behind the scenes and are in touch with us. She said in a challenging tone, “If you want, I can give a long list of such leaders who are superficially with NDA but campaign for RJD. JDU should look inside itself before pointing fingers at others.”

Girdhari Yadav’s clarification: “I will answer to the Lok Sabha Speaker” Amidst this entire controversy, MP Girdhari Yadav has also broken his silence. He said that his son is an adult and is free to take any decision. On the notice of termination of membership, he said that he would present his stand in this regard only when asked by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha. Political experts believe that in this political period of 2025-26, ‘son’s rebellion’ may prove to be costly for Girdhari Yadav’s political career.
