Weather patterns changed in Bihar, rain and thunderstorm alert from today till March 31:

News India Live, Digital Desk: Amidst the scorching heat in Bihar, the Meteorological Department has given news of both relief and disaster. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Thursday (26 March 2026) there is going to be a big change in the weather of the state. From today due to the moisture coming from the Bay of Bengal and the cyclonic circulation over North Bihar. 31st March Till now, there is a possibility of rain, thunderstorm and lightning in most parts of the state.

‘Garjan-Tarjan’ will start from today: Yellow alert in these districts

The Meteorological Department has predicted movement of clouds and light drizzle in many districts of South and Central Bihar including Patna from this afternoon onwards.

Major districts: The weather may change in Patna, Gaya, Nalanda, Nawada, Aurangabad and Rohtas by this evening.

alert: There is a possibility of wind speed of 30 to 40 km per hour along with thunderstorm. The department has advised people not to stay in open places or under trees to avoid lightning.

Impact will increase from March 27 to 31: possibility of hailstorm

North and East Bihar: Heavy rain at some places in Purnia, Katihar, Araria, Kishanganj and Supaul. Hailstorm Suspicion has also been raised.

Important advice for farmers

This season may prove to be a mixed bag for the crops.

Caution: Agricultural experts have advised farmers that if the crop is ready after harvesting, then take it to safe places.

Stop Irrigation: Do not irrigate the fields for the next 4-5 days and also avoid spraying pesticides, because rain can wash away the medicine.

Impact on preparations for Ram Navami and Eid?

Since there are grand celebrations of Ram Navami around March 26 and 27 and preparations for Eid are also going on, sudden rain and storm can disrupt the programmes. Arrangements for waterproof tents have already been made for the programs to be held at Patna Mahavir Temple.
