Weather Pattern Changed in Up, Lucknow: The monsoon has gained momentum in Uttar Pradesh, due to which the Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heavy rains, thunderstorms and lightning alert in several districts of the state on 28 June. Monsoon is cloudy from eastern Uttar Pradesh to western Uttar Pradesh, and it is raining with thunderstorms in many places, which has brought great relief from the humid heat.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, on June 28, some areas of western UP are expected to receive heavy to very heavy rains, while many parts of eastern UP may also receive heavy rains. The IMD has predicted monsoon active in the entire state and rain activities in different areas till July 3.

Warning issued for these districts

The Meteorological Department has specifically issued warnings regarding heavy rains in districts like Lakhimpur Kheri, Meerut and Muzaffarnagar. Apart from this, torrential rains are also expected in Siddharthnagar, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Deoria and Gorakhpur. Also, in many other districts including Gonda, Balrampur, Basti, Ayodhya, Amethi, Barabanki and Sultanpur, there have been warnings of thunderstorms and lightning.

Lucknow and surrounding areas are also cloudy and there is a possibility of rain, causing a drop in temperature and people have breathed a sigh of relief from the scorching heat. The administration has appealed to the people to be cautious in bad weather, avoid standing under trees and in unsafe places, and stay indoors during the possibility of lightning.
