Material:
- Gram (soaked and boiled) – 1 cup
- Garlic – 2 to 3 cloves
- Tahini (sesame paste) – 2 tbsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon
- Olive oil – 2 tbsp
- salt to taste
- Cold water – 2 to 3 tablespoons
- Cumin powder (optional) – ½ tsp
Action:
- First, soak the gram in water for 8 to 10 hours. Then cook them until soft and let them cool.
Add cooked chickpeas, garlic, tahini, lemon juice and olive oil to a mixer jar. - Add salt and some cold water to it and make a smooth and creamy paste.
- If the mixture seems too thick, add some water and mix again.
- Take out the hummus in a bowl and sprinkle some olive oil and cumin powder on top.
- Now your hummus is ready! You can serve it with falafel, pita bread, cucumber slices or toasted bread.
- If you don’t have tahini, you can make tahini paste by adding lightly roasted sesame seeds and a little olive oil and grinding it in a mixer.
